Meet the Team: Field Tech
Cerena is a valued Care at Home Field Tech. She became a team member in 2020, where she initially joined as a caregiver offering the flexibility to fill in and handle day and night shifts for clients. In her role as a Field Tech, Cerena updates care plans and conducts daily spot checks to ensure that both clients and caregivers enjoy an excellent Care at Home experience. Serving as a crucial support system for clients and caregivers alike, Cerena values her time in the field, establishing connections with clients and ensuring their voices are heard regarding their care.
Her adventure in the healthcare realm began in 2015 as a CNA at a nursing home, where she assisted residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and engaging residents in therapeutic activities like music and art. Cerena fondly remembers the close bonds formed with many residents and their families during that time.
Beyond her professional life, Cerena resides along the Connecticut coastline in the company of four Shitzu/Poodles named Lola, Leo, Harley, and Layla. Her love for walks, rides, and dog parks reflects her vibrant and active lifestyle. An avid reader, she delves into 2-3 books weekly and extends her support beyond the workplace by volunteering with the local Special Olympics.
Identifying as a self-proclaimed “Autumn” person, Cerena revels in Halloween activities, pumpkin field exploring, and hayrides. She aspires to broaden her horizons and dreams of visiting Spain to immerse herself in its rich culture and artwork. Additionally, Cerena aims to advance her educational skills, contemplating classes in social studies, human resources, and chemistry. This pursuit aligns with her future aspirations of becoming a social worker, advocating for children with disabilities and our elderly community.
