Meet the Team: Receptionist
Meet Autumn, our dedicated Receptionist who joined the Care at Home team in February 2023. In addition to being the friendly voice on the other end of the phone, Autumn handles various administrative tasks and ensures smooth operations within the office. She plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources and Recruiting departments, contributing to the overall efficiency of our team. She is also actively involved in caregiving for our clients in the community when she’s not in the office.
Autumn’s journey in the healthcare field began in California, where she gained valuable experience working at a call center scheduling appointments and providing customer support for general practitioners. After returning to Connecticut, Autumn embraced a new role as a nursing assistant in an Alzheimer’s and Dementia care wing at a shoreline nursing home facility. For three years, she immersed herself in the lives of the residents, lending a listening ear to their captivating stories. Autumn took great pleasure in engaging them in stimulating activities to enhance their cognitive abilities and improve their overall well-being. Making a positive impact on their daily routines and brightening their days became the most rewarding aspect of her work.
Autumn resides in southeastern Connecticut with her loving fiancé and four wonderful children. She cherishes her time outdoors, often enjoying a good book while comfortably seated in her favorite wicker chair. When she’s not engrossed in reading, Autumn indulges in her passion for video games and relishes the joy of staying at home. She has a knack for grilling mouthwatering ribs, steaks, and corn on the cob, which she eagerly does whenever the opportunity arises.
Outside of her home, Autumn finds solace in summertime activities at the beach and embarks on memorable vacations with her children. She shares delightful drives along the scenic back roads of New England with her fiancé and proudly declares herself an “exceptional go-kart racer”, a skill that brings her great joy. Autumn dreams of one day traveling to Japan, and her heart swells with anticipation as she witnesses her children’s growth and their journey toward becoming the best versions of themselves in this world.
