Meet the Team: Business Manager

Dawn joined the Care at Home team as Business Manager in 2020 to oversee the company’s financial department to include accounting, business plan development, KPI monitoring and reporting, auditing and quality assurance.

Aside from having a passion for numbers and analysis, Dawn has a wealth of knowledge gained from her time in the healthcare industry and accounting roles for various businesses. She started serving seniors back in 2004 in an assisted living community and was an Executive Director for almost a decade at an assisted living community with a dedicated memory care unit. Since her own grandmother was afflicted by Alzheimers’ Disease for many years, she has been dedicated to providing a caring, safe, and quality home for elders experiencing memory issues. She also is a teacher with RIALA for their Assisted Living Administrator Program, teaching budding administrators about activities and recreation.

Dawn lives in Rhode Island with her family and an American Bulldog named Lola. Her main pastimes include reading, gardening, and jewelry making. When there is warm weather, she can often be found outside in her garden and harvesting peaches in the fall. In the cooler climate, she focuses on crocheting projects and has started to try out soap making.
