Dana brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and a warm personality that fits perfectly with our mission to improve the quality of life for seniors and provide peace of mind for their loved ones. Let’s get to know Dana a bit better!

A Journey of Diverse Experience

Dana’s professional journey is marked by a rich tapestry of roles across various industries. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and has worked in office environments since graduation. Dana has worn many hats, including Administrative Assistant and Executive Administrative Assistant, in settings as varied as a car dealership and the energy industry. Her most recent position was with Groton Utilities, where she excelled as an Executive Assistant.

Throughout her career, Dana has developed well-honed organizational and time management skills. She has a knack for problem-solving, and an ability to adapt to the dynamic pace of the day. She is proficient in a range of computer applications, including Microsoft Office, SAP, Outlook, and more. These skills, combined with her strong communication abilities, make her a perfect fit for our team.

Joining Care at Home

Dana was drawn to Care at Home by our positive work environment and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others. She particularly admired the teamwork and dedication she observed among our staff. “Everyone here is so kind and positive,” Dana shared. “It’s inspiring to see how hard everyone works and how well they support each other.”

Key Responsibilities

As our Office Manager, Dana is the main billing contact for clients and responsible parties. She handles all billing inquiries with precision and care, ensuring that financial transactions are smooth and accurate. She also coordinates long-term care insurance submissions, helping clients navigate the complexities of insurance processes with ease. Additionally, she contributes significantly to our Administration and Finance Team, maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our office operations.

A Warm Welcome and Exciting Beginnings

Dana experienced memorable moments during her first few weeks with us, starting with Caregiver Week. The events during this special week created a fun and relaxed atmosphere. This allowed her to get to know her colleagues better and even meet some of our caregivers and clients. “The warm welcome I received made my transition into this new role incredibly smooth and enjoyable,” Dana remarked.

Beyond the Office

Outside of work, Dana leads a vibrant life with her husband, Keith, and their beloved dog, Star. Star, true to her name, is the “star of the show” and she enjoys taking her for walks, visiting the park, and swimming. Dana and Keith also maintain a large garden that produces an abundance of vegetables, which she is excited to share with her new coworkers.
