Care at Home announces Sam as Caregiver of the Month for June 2024.

Care at Home, a premiere home care agency in CT and RI, proudly announces Sam as the Caregiver of the Month for June 2024! Sam has shown exceptional dedication and compassion in his role as a caregiver over the last 5 years here at Care at Home. We are excited to share more about his contribution and journey!

As a Live-In Caregiver, Sam shows true dedication to his clients every day. He enjoys not only the care component of his responsibilities, but also the companionship he brings to them. Sam’s commitment to providing quality care in a client’s home and his positive attitude have made a significant impact on both his clients and his colleagues.

We asked Sam what inspired him to become a caregiver. He shared with us his dedication in taking care of his uncle when he needed more help. This inspired him to pursue CNA training and obtaining his license. In seeing how much he was able to help his uncle and how it fulfilled a purpose in him, he wanted to be able to do that for others as well. He knew then that he was called to this type of work.

Sam finds that kindness and patience go hand in hand with the care he gives. That is his secret weapon to being so successful. He feels rewarded when he and his client can connect together with daily activities. They do activities like working in the garden or watching YouTube videos they like so he can learn more about them. Sam likes to utilize his downtime by talking with friends, practicing his spirituality, and making music. In addition, Sam is a gifted musician and song writer as a hobby.

Sam is grateful for God and the support he receives from the office. He notes that our Care Coordinator Laura, in particular, has been very supportive of his caregiving journey here at Care at Home. He appreciates the opportunity he has had to grow and how much he is still learning.
