Meet Mercedes: Our New Care Coordinator with a Heart for Helping

We’re thrilled to introduce Mercedes Tatro, who has recently stepped into the role of Care Coordinator at Care at Home, bringing her unique blend of experience and passion to our team. Mercedes has a background in law enforcement and years of experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT). She is no stranger to roles that require compassion, diligence, and a deep commitment to helping others. Let’s meet Mercedes!

A Warm Welcome to the Care at Home Team

Mercedes’ journey to Care at Home is a testament to her dedication to making a difference in people’s lives. After she managed an office in Mystic and discovered her love for helping people, Mercedes felt drawn to Care at Home. The warmth and professionalism she encountered during her interview process made her feel right at home. “Everyone was so nice and made me feel like I’m in the right job,” she recalls. It was this supportive environment that solidified her decision to join our team.

In her role as Care Coordinator, Mercedes is responsible for ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care by matching them with the right caregivers. She also manages the scheduling for our live-in clients, a responsibility that she takes very seriously. “It’s rewarding to know that I can help ensure our clients are well cared for, and it’s even more special when I hear the kind words from their families,” Mercedes shares.

From the moment she started, Mercedes felt welcomed by her colleagues. They went out of their way to make sure she had everything she needed to succeed. “My first week in the office was great—everyone was so helpful and made sure I was set up for success,” she says. This supportive start has allowed Mercedes to hit the ground running, leveraging her previous experience to excel in her new role.

Balancing Work and Life: A Glimpse into Mercedes’ World

But there’s more to Mercedes than her professional accomplishments. Outside of work, she’s a devoted mom to three daughters who are all active in sports. When she’s not traveling to games or sitting at practices, Mercedes enjoys crafting custom shirts and cups. This creative outlet adds another layer to her dynamic personality.

Mercedes’ blend of professional expertise, warm personality, and dedication makes her a perfect fit for the Care at Home team. We’re excited to see how her contributions will further enhance the level of care we provide to our clients.
